I'm on spring break right now which will be ending tomorrow sadly. The one thing that sucks about spring break this year is that we had it alot later than other years so now when I get back to school it's really gonna be crunch time. This coming week I have a midterm, a 10 page paper, along with plenty of Career Center projects to keep me busy. The week after that I also have another 10 page paper due but that one I plan to rehash from another class so that shouldn't be as bad. Next week, I'm also going to see Metallica Tuesday night and possibly could go see DJ Shadow the night before. Class gets in the way of school. I can't wait for the summer. Can start playing basketball all the time, working out, and making money since I can work more. Right now, it's rough since I can't work as much as I want to and yet I keep spending money. But then again, I'd rather go out and have fun and spend alittle than sit inside all the time. Credit card companies must love us college students. I think my Ipod is having that problem with the faulty battery because it seems to only play for about 2 hours now rather than the 8 it should play for without needing a charge. It's not too bad since I use it in my car most of the time and usually not driving that long but jeez that thing is so expensive and shouldn't just break down after a couple of months. This week (Thursday), Kristen had her Junior art show in the city. PB and I got all spiffied up and took the train into Penn. It was a pretty crappy day out (nice cold rain, fun). We hiked over to the art studio since it wasn't too far and the line for taxis was pretty long. Luckily, PB made the walk successfully even though she was in open toed shoes, hehe. Anyway, we made it over and checked out some of the exhibits and were looking around for Kristen and some of my other friends who were supposed to meet up. Her exhibit was cool. She had this kinda trifold painting which portrayed different scenes. I'm not a great artist or anything so I guess thats the best I can explain it but it was very nice nontheless. The one room in the studio that I didn't like was I guess the "modern" art room. That shit irks me. For example, one exhibit in there was like shapes made from like black duct tape with some on the floor and some hanging from strings on the ceiling. Gimme a break. How could someone going to SVA (which is a very good art school apparently) have the balls to throw their name on that and say this is what I learned in college. That's something I could have made when I was like 5 and then I'd probably get yelled at for wasting valuable duct tape, haha. Oh well, I guess thats life. You can succeed in life using the art of sucking (like William Hung). After checking out everything, the art show had to offer, all the mates and sheilas headed off to the Outback to grab a bite. Was "bonzer" as usual but the bill was super expensive (as usual). Nevertheless good times had by all. Friday morning, went to get my oil changed and realized my car needed to be inspected too which sucked. What should have been 20 bucks turned into 250 since they needed to replace the brake hoses, fix the high mount brake light, and my drivers side mirror. The great thing is that after all thing, they fucked up the sensor for my antifreeze so now I have the ever glowing "low coolant" light on in my car. All I wanted to do was play basketball yesterday but it all just turned into me sitting around waiting for my car to be fixed. Ah well, hopefully today, I can get outside and do something more productive. On that note, I think I'll be out.
